How to Remove a White Background from a Logo

A white rectangle around a logo can make it hard to place on colored layouts. The best starting point is usually the original vector or transparent export; background removal is useful when you only have a raster copy.

Look for a better source first

Check whether the brand kit contains SVG, PDF, or transparent PNG artwork. A vector master stays sharp at different sizes and avoids rebuilding edges from a compressed screenshot.

Process and inspect carefully

If a raster image is all you have, use a clear, high resolution copy. Thin strokes, white lettering, and pale marks can blend into the background. Zoom in around small type and test the result on both dark and light colors.

Keep the output in context

Export a transparent PNG for layouts and preserve the source file. A raster remover cannot restore detail that was lost at low resolution or create editable vector paths.
